BUT!!! (I like butts...^.~) You see...the main reason I haven't been posting is because I've been ABSOLUTELY SPAZZING about this ear infection I have. I've read too many horror stories about cartilage piercings gone wrong...and am currently on a healthy(or not so much...blergh...heartburn...) of antibiotics. Lucky me, I did something dumb to the piercing and wound up with a staph infection in my cartilage...

SOOO!!! I went to Urgent Care...four times this past week...and met ALL of the different Urgent Care doctors!!! WOOOOOWWWW!!!! XD;;; I'm a frickin regular to urgent care....

Day 1(This past Monday): DOCTOR #1:"Okies...lemme *squeeeeze* ur earrrr, collect the goupies, and I'll give you this antibiotic...call back to get the results! BYEEE!!"
Day 2(This past Wednesday): ME: "Hi, I need to get some lab results..."
NURSELADY: "Ok, well the results say to stay on the antibiotic you're on...I'll send it in for more testing...call back tomorrow..."
Day 3(This past Thursday): NURSELADY: "Yah...we need you to come back in for more tests..."
*ARRIVAL AT OFFICE*
DOCTOR#2: "I've looked at your results...and it's a staph infection...we have to take the piercings out, otherwise it's going to get reinfected...and you might get heart problems...and your ear might fall off(he didn't say it QUITE like that...but that's what I heard...)...
ME: "OMG!!!!! OMG!!!! GET IT OOOOUUUTTTT!!!! HEAAALL MEEE!!!
*more spazzing*
DOCTOR #2: "Oh, and I have to give you a different, stronger prescription...call back if it gets worse at all..."
Day 4(This past Friday): ME: "Ahm...I was in yesterday and my ear has swollen up rather large and...."
NURSELADY: "It's best you come in, we'll probably have to give you a shot of antibiotics..."
*ARRIVAL AT OFFICE*
DOCTOR #3: "Hmmm, well it seems that we will have to give you a shot...just to give your body an extra boost..."
NURSE: "Ok, do you want it in your leg or your butt?"
ME: "Ahmm....which hurts less?"
NURSE: "The butt...and there's some numbing liquid in the shot too, so it shouldn't hurt as much..."
ME: "Oh...ok...."

AND THAT'S MY STORYY!! And I'm still on antibiotics...so still freaking out a bit whenever it gets redder...and will be making an appointment with a doctor regardless if I think it's completely healed up by the time I'm done with antibiotics...cuz I'm still THAT paranoid....

02:00 am: yes...i'm actually posting again...but don't get used to it!!! XD
Hellouuu everyone...it's likeee....2am here...and I'm the only one awake in my house...everyone's already asleep...probably even the evil bird, yoko....or not...I wonder if that thing ever sleeps....but anyways...

Classes started this past week for me...and lemme tell ya! They sure seem fun!!!!
And...if you actually believe that.....my typing must be convincing? XD I dunno...
but I'm in all fantastic upper level business classes with lots of readings and math problems....EXCEPT!!! For my Japanese independent study again this semester!! YAAY!!!
Kato-sensei was happy to see me! ^__^ and I was happy to see her too!! And lemme tell ya...it was a HUUUGE ego booster to actually be able to talk with her in Japanese for once...instead of marbled Japanese but mostly English speak.

I still hafta see the Chiro at least once a week or so...but I'm doing MUUCH better in that respect! I can even feel my toe most of the time!!! XD Sad...but true...it makes me very happy...But bad chiropractic news would be that Kurt managed to hurt his back again...so now I'm gonna hafta take him with me sometime to fill out paperwork so he can see my Chiropractor...*sigh*......I think he got it from work....or the gym....>.>.....XD
either way, he was doin somethin his back didn't like and it crapped out again...and leaves a somewhat disgruntled Kurt...

But...myself and my friends now have an apartment set up for next year!!! YAAY!!!! Signed the lease and everythin! Right close to schoollll(closer than my current dorm...*sigh*) And I'll be rooming with Kurt, Kyon, and Jess....I get a room to myself....Kyon and Jess share one...and Kurt gets the kitchen..so he doesn't make messes on the carpet...XD no...I'm so mean...XD;;;
Kurt gets the kitchen so he has breakfast ready for us everymorning!!! Right!??? Shufu! ^____^ <3

Dear Santa... Dear Santa, This year I've been busy! In June I got in line at the supermarket at the same time as someone else and I didn't yield (-8 points). In May I pushed timeless_rose in the mud (-17 points). In March I saved a busload of nuns in Angola (326 points). In April I gave sotojapan a life-saving blood transfusion (50 points). In October I set manashi's puppy on fire (-66 points). Overall, I've been nice (285 points). For Christmas I deserve a toy train! Sincerely, utakomomo

But it has been EXTREMELY busy here!!!
Between classes, speaking partners, home visit family, site seeing, homework, kanji(yes, kanji gets its own separate category!!!), Queer Film Festival, etc...
I have lacked the time needed to post...and to those wondering, I haven't really even been able to talk to anyone online for the past couple of days either.
Basically, I probably am so squeezed for time because it takes a very long time to get anywhere in Japan.
It's about a 30 minute walk to school, another 30 minute walk from school to the trainstation, at least a 30 minute trainride to get anywhere and then another 30 minutes to walk to whatever site you want to see from there. XD If anything else comes of this I'll be veery good at walking! XD
The description of the Queer film festival will probably be friends locked, you will find out why when you read it, and it will be put up at a later date because I want to make sure it's a very good description...oh...and you're ALL going to be VERY jealous....mweheheheh.....
But...besides schoolwork...and the film festival....I went to a local concert on Friday after classes!
It was in the basement of a building called 'Holiday Osaka'. It was standing room only, and you had to buy a teeny tiny drink for 500yen.
It was actually really fun....until it reached about the 5 hour point...yes...it actually lasted close to 7 hours though...not 5.....
That and the last band that played wasn't that good, and they were given the most time to perform!!!
I REALLY liked some of the other groups...they were VERY pretty and REALLY good...and I was practically deaf by the end....XD
OK! Next was Saturday, which was the film festival. I'll give a description of this soon hopefully.
Then on Sunday I went shopping in Kyoto with my speaking partners!! It was a lot of fun^___^! And I found some not so expensive shops...actually quite cheap for the area.
I also got quite a bit of practice speaking Japanese! ^___^ We went out to get Omelette rice for dinner! I had Tonkatsu kare Omruletto Raisu!!!!! CURRYYY!!!! <3<3<3
It was also a lot of fun trying to explain my exact relation to my brothers....XD I eventually had to draw out a type of diagram XD
Then came Monday...and we decided to go to Kiyomizu Dera instead of the film festival again, because we had such an AWESOME experience the time we went, we didn't want to taint it.
Kiyomizu is the temple where there's a shinto love shrine as well...I bought a few charms from both places *^__^* One is for studying hard(form kiyomizu), one is for safe travel(from the love shrine), and the last one was a set of two charms that is to 'strengthen and deepend a relationship'(from the love shrine, duh!).
Next was heading down to drink their magical water....and I have to admit...I vouch for this place's water, because when I came there in high school they told me that I could either wish for health, knowledge, or love while drinking from the fountain....and I chose love....silly me....XD what was I thinking!?!?
So this time I drank for health....I hope it will help me somewhat at least....^.^;;;
I also warned my friends of the potency of the water...but they still drank for love...poor fools.....XD hahahahahahah
Well, that about sums up my weekend!! Now it's back to classes and whatnot...I hope to be able to update more, but I honestly hardly have time to eat sometimes...thank the kami for conbini!!!

Well, it was another crazy day in the first week of actually having classes here.
My Japanese classes are going to be VERY challenging, but I'm looking forward to it! XD BRING IT!!!

Now I know the title sounds cool...but I don't really feel like typing much now...so it will have to wait!
I had class today, went and got the paper slip we need for cell phones(which was really ridiculous)XD
then walked around Hirakatashi for a while...
Then FINALLY back..we were all starving...waited for rice to cook, then ate leftover curry!
Then started planning our weekend trip to osaka, had tea, and then computer time....
And now it's time for me to get ready for bed!
I also emailed my Home-visit sister back! She sounds so nice! I'm so excited to meet her this thursday!

But I'm still gonna wait and see what the other classes are gonna be like before making my final decision...
Even though he passed right by me when we were saying where we were from...I think he thought I was finnish.....XD
I got AWESOME shoes today!!! PLATFORM sneakers!!! WOOO! They just BARELY fit...and by that I mean they're a bit tight...but in the way that you know they'll strech out....Right now they have things stuffed in the toes, it's really not that bad though, I wore them walking for about a half an hour today and they didn't feel any worse than wearing the shoes I was before i changed...They hurt the most because I wasn't wearing socks that went up high enough...It killed my heels! XD But they're really nice shoes...don't think that they're waaay too small, just snug.

And once it gets a bit cooler outside, I'm planning on getting my nails done that incredibly awesomely detailed Japanese French manicure way! Just take a look in ANY japanese fashion magazine... You'll see what I mean! But I don't know how much yet....hmm....
I also washed my new bras today! I got some Japanese ones!! Didya know that I'm a C in Japan?? HMM??/ Too bad the Japanese size C is the same as an American size B.....XD
But they're so cute and cheap here! XD
Okies...I think that just about covers my day....except....
WE made CURRY TONIGHT!!! WOOO!!! It was absolutely DELICIOUS! And of course everyone loved it! *^___^*
Then at about 9 we all sipped tea and ate a few sweets...it was really fun!
I hope everyone has a good day off today! For mine was very busy, but awesome! ^_^
